About Us

Our Background

International Centre for Participatory Health & Environmental Research (ICPHER) is a Research, Development and Management Consulting Firm based in Nairobi, Kenya and operating in the Horn, East and Central Africa. Initially registered and operating as an International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) from 2004 – 2009.

The organization transformed into a Management Consulting Firm in 2012 based on its continued focus on supporting Governments, NGOs and private sector institutions through the provision of Training and Capacity Building, Development and Management Advisory Services as well as its strong emphasis on Research. The firm is registered as a Company Limited by Shares vide Certificate No. CPR/2012/75739 and is compliant in all statutory requirements for Companies by the Government of Kenya.

The transformation was inspired by the overarching goal of working with and assisting institutions and organizations at the Macro, Meso and Micro levels to develop and strengthen their capacities to remain relevant to their own existence. At the Macro level, ICPHER works with Government (National and County Governments, Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) as well as Multilateral or Bilateral Development Agencies.
